Well friends just doing some testing to see how I can get this blog connected to my web page...

Hello friends. I created  Daves Outdoor World a few months ago. I created the web site www.Davesoutdoorworld.com and my email is Davesoutdoorworld@gmail.com While there is another blog with this name I see that he has had his blog spot for a few years. And it seems he likes the outdoors just as I do. So it is all good. Daves Outdoor World was created in part starting in Rock Falls IL where I was born and raised some 51 years ago. As a boy i rode my bike along the banks of the Hennepin Canal and never realized how important it was and the history until 3 years ago when I began a volunteer group called Rock Falls Canal Trail Blazers. As I began to ride the canal again in 2005 after moving away for 18 years to Texas I returned to my home town to marry my childhood sweetheart. While volunteering as I said I began to research the Canal and all the History in the area also. I was never a history guy and this started me to loving history and wanting more. As I did this I also got involved in the surrounding cities and there governments and city counsels.I really never liked government and politics. But as I got involved I learned alot about how government works. After a few lumps I began to learn how to use the media and communicate with the people and businesses.Soon I was asked to join the Rock River Trail Initiative as the Illinois Coordinator as a volunteer in promoting the Rock River to soon be a National Water Trail. The Rock River starts in Fon Du Loc Wisconsin west to the Mississippi in Iowa some 300 miles away.In 2013 the Rock River was designated as a National Water Trail by the Department Of Interior. How exciting was that. The Rock River connects in Rock Falls Illinois with the Hennepin Canal of which I was working to help support and save. Today many things are happening towards making this area one of the states best tourist destinations I believe in the future. The creation of Daves Outdoor World was from this experience with the Hennepin Canal. To promote these types of recreational waterways and bike trails. Along with educating recreationalist about conservation and preservation of our lands and waters. Daves Outdoor World also is promoting clean and green Alternative Energies like Electric Bikes and Electric Boats. Daves Outdoor World also promotes and is a affiliate of REI Outdoor Gear and Equipment. Daves Outdoor World is all about outdoor fun and recreation and healthy minds and bodies, while also practicing outdoor ethics like the 7 principles of Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics...
